since the inception of our travel by taste endeavor, 2 of my good friends and colleagues deng and chely have been motivating me to take steps to get me out of my old maid stupor. i don't know for how long i've been in one, but looking at how i've been looking in the past few weeks, it was so obvious that i was setting onto a self-imposed no-detours ride on the old maid express. deng started calling me AUNTIE! for shame. the last hair dresser i went to (quite a while ago) said that my hair color (which had inexplicably become blacker) did nothing for my complexion. my hair was permanently matted to my head and i had stopped wearing makeup for anything.
i was convinced by them to make several changes - some makeup, a cut, a good coloring job - and here are some pictures so you can see the little changes that have been taking place in the not-so-distant past.

chely, deng and me - this was how i looked everyday. hair tied, no makeup, and glasses. what you could say was my before picture.

the co-conspirators. do they look like they can be trusted??? yipes!

me and chely before anything was ever done. hahaha.

no, i'm not going to the prom. the "hopeful" look according to deng. i was made up by chely during some editing downtime.

chely and me after she made me up to look like a vamp - more downtime during editing hahaha.

the day of the deed! originally uptight about all the red, but when i got home i was so psyched! obvious ba?

after we got ready to be groupies for the nescafe soundskool event

the last time i wore my hair down like this was...never.
step by step! i hope soon deng will stop calling me auntie soon. hahaha.
