gosh. it feels weird sitting in front of the computer and knowing that you don't not have to stop or feel guilty while surfing because you know that there is nothing to study.
i just came out of a horrendous finals hellweek. hellweeks. spawned from the sem from hell. now, i am wishing i had something to read. or memorize. GOODGOD! what's become of me?
but seriously, i'm beginning to feel like i am my old self again.
last night, we watched the ryan cayabyab anniversary concert at the CCP and it was fabulous. we had wonderful seats. it made me remember how much i love music, and how much i miss the media world, the production side, the stage. but even though i will now forever be relegated to the role of audience member, i was happy listening to the masterful musical arrangement. and the words. and seeing the performances. i can't believe i'm saying this, but artistas really DO have star quality. when theyre that close to you, you can see the X-FACTOR. galing. i was a starry-eyed-curly-haired-hoop-earringed-groupie. it was a fun role to play.
i can't believe i survived a sem in law school. and i am not dead. of course, the results havent come out yet, and i am certain a good number of them will turn out quite dismal. but i have finally come to understand that i am still adjusting and should be comforted by the thought that it is really hard to get your groove in law school. and at least i made it this far without cracking or having to be sent to the cuckoo house or killing myself (as did the infamous senator's son from ateneo).
now, i am just happy. and curly. really curly. i look like someone from the 80s. maybe curly sue. or strawberry shortcake. ooh. shortcake.
hmm. now that i have time to ramble on...i shall tell you the things i learned over the weekend.
1. there are carebears, and there are carebear cousins. --> i knew i loved the carebears but was too young to distinguish. my favorite elephant, hence, is a carebear cousin. hehehe. "reddendo singula singulis" or "referring each to each" ergo, carebear pertains to bear and carebear cousins pertain to NOT bears.
2. never ask a guy if he can drive when he's drunk because he will never admit that he in fact cannot, and would much rather die a gruesome bloody death that be viewed as a wimp who cannot hold his liquor. hmm.

but seriously, i'm beginning to feel like i am my old self again.
last night, we watched the ryan cayabyab anniversary concert at the CCP and it was fabulous. we had wonderful seats. it made me remember how much i love music, and how much i miss the media world, the production side, the stage. but even though i will now forever be relegated to the role of audience member, i was happy listening to the masterful musical arrangement. and the words. and seeing the performances. i can't believe i'm saying this, but artistas really DO have star quality. when theyre that close to you, you can see the X-FACTOR. galing. i was a starry-eyed-curly-haired-hoop-earringed-groupie. it was a fun role to play.
i can't believe i survived a sem in law school. and i am not dead. of course, the results havent come out yet, and i am certain a good number of them will turn out quite dismal. but i have finally come to understand that i am still adjusting and should be comforted by the thought that it is really hard to get your groove in law school. and at least i made it this far without cracking or having to be sent to the cuckoo house or killing myself (as did the infamous senator's son from ateneo).
now, i am just happy. and curly. really curly. i look like someone from the 80s. maybe curly sue. or strawberry shortcake. ooh. shortcake.
hmm. now that i have time to ramble on...i shall tell you the things i learned over the weekend.
1. there are carebears, and there are carebear cousins. --> i knew i loved the carebears but was too young to distinguish. my favorite elephant, hence, is a carebear cousin. hehehe. "reddendo singula singulis" or "referring each to each" ergo, carebear pertains to bear and carebear cousins pertain to NOT bears.
2. never ask a guy if he can drive when he's drunk because he will never admit that he in fact cannot, and would much rather die a gruesome bloody death that be viewed as a wimp who cannot hold his liquor. hmm.
3. some guys, when they're lost, DO want to ask for directions. ALL HAIL OMAR!
4. you actually fail an exam and not really care.
5. it's all in the mind. don't sweat it. and the only thing that matters it what YOU think. really.
ahh. but enough of my sage wisdom. for now. i shall occupy myself with more useless things whilst i wait for us to finally eat lunch. GREENBELT awaits.
